Paid CDL Training Programs: Company-Sponsored, No Experience Needed

A filterable directory of carrier-sponsored CDL training programs for people with zero trucking experience. Compare pay during training, work-commitment length, program length, and hiring states before you sign anything.

All program terms were verified against each carrier's own public pages in October 2026. Terms change often; confirm every detail directly with the carrier before applying. This site is a directory, not a recruiter.

Programs that do not publish a commitment length stay visible; confirm with the carrier.

Frequently asked questions

What does "company-sponsored" or "paid" CDL training actually mean?

It means the carrier covers your CDL school tuition (or most of it) and trains you from zero experience, usually in exchange for a signed agreement to drive for that carrier for a set period. Some carriers pay wages while you train; others only cover tuition and start paying you once you are hired as a trainee driver.

Do I get paid while I am in CDL school?

It depends on the carrier. A few programs hire you as an employee on day one and pay you during school (for example, Roehl). Others provide a living-expense loan during school and start paying wages only after you earn your CDL (for example, Prime). This directory marks each program so you can filter on it.

What happens if I quit before my contract ends?

Almost every sponsored program requires you to repay some or all of the training cost if you leave early, sometimes several thousand dollars. Read the written agreement carefully and ask the recruiter for the exact repayment schedule before you sign.

Do I need a Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) before applying?

Some programs require you to obtain your CLP in your home state first (KLLM, TMC, Prime); others build permit prep into the first week of school (Swift, Schneider). The carrier's recruiter will tell you which applies to your state.

Can these programs hire me in my state?

Most national carriers hire across the country, but some programs recruit only from specific states. Use the hiring-state filter above to narrow the list, then confirm your state with the carrier's recruiter.

How accurate is this directory?

Every entry was checked against the carrier's own public pages in October 2026. Carriers change pay and contract terms frequently, and some terms are not published at all. Fields marked "not published" mean the carrier does not state that term on its public pages. Always confirm current terms directly with the carrier before applying.
